Ceres Solutions

Streamlining Data flow

Challenge
Ceres Solutions was using a lot of different platforms to communicate critical data with their growers, which created confusion in the workflow.
Solution
By adopting Agworld across the whole cooperative, Ceres was able to streamline internal processes and minimize the number of different programs that get used.
Result
Because the Agworld platform has taken over a lot of the routine and time consuming tasks, we are now able to focus more on those acres that show high variability and help our growers achieve gains on those fields as well.

Agworld helps Ceres Solutions streamline Data flow

Ceres Solutions is a large farmer owned local cooperative headquartered in Crawfordsville, Indiana with over 60 offices throughout 35 counties in Michigan and Indiana from which over 40,000 clients get served. To help their grower owners create consistent opportunities for cropping success, Ceres has built a robust precision program, CORE Agronomics, that covers roughly half a million acres. All fields in the precision program get sampled every 4 years on a rotating basis. Ceres Ag Data Manager Matt Clark explains: “With all that complexity we’ve got to make sure that we don’t miss any little detail. So having something that we can use to all look at the same data, ensures that there are no duplicate fields and that we are not working off of multiple datasets.”

Before switching to Agworld, Ceres Solutions was using a lot of different platforms to communicate critical data with their growers, which created confusion in the workflow. By adopting Agworld across the whole cooperative, Ceres was able to streamline internal processes and minimize the number of different programs that get used. Matt Clark adds: “Being able to be consistent with our customers and being that trusted advisor to them, with a solid platform, helps us at the farm gate a lot.”

Agworld has introduced Ceres to new tools that help automate a lot of the routine tasks that come with having a precision ag program the size of Ceres’ program. Matt Clark remarks: “Because the Agworld platform has taken over a lot of the routine and time consuming tasks, we are now able to focus more on those acres that show high variability and help our growers achieve gains on those fields as well.” To find out more about how Ceres Solutions has been transformed by adopting Agworld, see the video above.
