Over the past 24 months we have continued to expand Agworld's ability to import, store and utilise data layers. From planting to yield, soil surfaces and many other data layers; Agworld users have them all available right where they need it most: on the Agworld maps page. As part of our continuous delivery of industry-leading features we realise that finding the right information at the right time is key, so here's what's new in layers:
- The way you use the 'layers' tabs on the Agworld maps page now works the same in the Agworld mobile application as on the Agworld website; making it easier to switch between your desktop and mobile device.
- You now have a 'search' box on the 'layers' tab which allows you to search by layer name.
- Layers are now grouped by category:
- Soil survey
- Yield
- Planting
- Management zones
- Soil surfaces
- Etc.
- Where there are layers with the same name for the same field, only the most recent layer will be displayed. You'll still see that older instances are available should you need them.
- Clicking through to the detail will give you the ability to quickly move between the history of the same layer type for the same field via a dropdown and directional arrows.
This new functionality has been given the thumbs-up by our test users as they make it easier to use a variety of different data layers as inputs to important decisions during the growing season, and we can't wait for you to experience these benefits as well. Geospatial data layers in Agworld can help you diagnose potential issues, groundtruth results, and benchmark fields or management zones against each other; opening up a more precise way to manage zones with variable rate prescriptions or other precision technologies.
Keeping Agworld easy to use and intuitive is always a priority for us, and these improvements show that we continue to work on this every day! Should you have any questions on using data layers in Agworld, please contact your local customer success representative; they'd love to help you make sure you get the most out of your Agworld subscription.
