With original roots in Australia founded in 2009, Agworld has grown significantly over the last decade, expanding into various global markets such as New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, and recently Canada. Since Agworld's first entry into South Africa (ZA) in 2014, our platform has evolved with continuous development each year, and we continue to make Agworld available for farming and agronomy businesses in South Africa.

Customers are supported from Agworld's Australian headquarters where a structured, localised database is maintained for ZA Growers and Agronomists. That means that inputs such as chemicals and seeds used in the region are available for standardised record-keeping, farm performance reporting and more. Growers in neighbouring country Zimbabwe are also taking advantage, in a project to scope large-scale irrigation development. At this research farm, Agworld is primarily used for digital records and to provide proof of sustainable management practices.

Until recently, some advanced Agworld features have been restricted to primary markets in Australia and the United States. Due to customer demand in South Africa, we've invested in releasing the sampling, scouting and precision tools globally. So, here's what's new to ZA!

Agworld Scout

Popular amongst agronomists who want to set up highly customisable scouting templates, the 'Agworld Scout' app allows users to track factors impacting crop health: such as pests, diseases and growth stages. While observations in the main Agworld app do the job for most, the Agworld Scout app adds an extra layer of flexibility and depth to the scouting process. Once scout records are collected, they ultimately link back to Agworld reporting so anyone connected to the account can access results. Agworld Sampling

The Agworld sampling workflow is created to assist growers and their advisors with their soil sampling process. Users can start the process by creating sampling jobs from the Agworld website to assign requirements (e.g. grid size and soil depth) and grid or point sample locations across fields. When these jobs are ready for collection, samplers can head out into the field with the Agworld Sampling app even without an internet connection. The app gives samplers the job information so they can collect soil samples & scan barcodes from each sample location. Sample results can then later be uploaded. Precision

Agworld ZA grower and agronomist users with the appropriate subscription tier can now access the following precision solutions:

• Upload variable rate prescriptions
• Create soil sample jobs, collect the samples with the Agworld Sampling app and upload results (as above)
• View soil surface layers on the map from the sampling process
• View the latest cloud-free Satamap SVI biomass imagery on the farm map (already available pre-2022)
