One of the big motivators for growers to start creating digital field records is the opportunity this offers to let these field records assist with operational cost tracking without creating an extra admin burden. By starting with an agronomic plan in Agworld that is connected to a budget which is made up of all costs involved in managing a field, operational cost tracking becomes easier throughout the seasons.
While Agworld allows for accurate production planning and in-field input and cost tracking, many growers and their financial advisors use Xero in combination with Figured for the whole-of-farm budgeting and forecasting processes. With the latest integration work now completed, Agworld now has a data integration with Figured, where Figured has a data integration available with Xero as well. So what does this mean for growers and their financial advisors?
Matching farms & fields
When you set up the integration between your Agworld account and your Figured account, you can ensure that your farms and fields structure matches. During this process you will be prompted to either use the Agworld farm and field structure as ‘source of truth’ and pull this structure into Figured, or you can match individual farms and fields while setting up the integration.
Field plans
After you’ve linked your Agworld and Figured accounts, your financial and agronomic plans will stay in sync between the two platforms. What that means is that, when you update your agronomic plans due to seasonal changes for example, your financial plan in Figured automatically gets updated with the latest information as well.
This seasonal plan can also be turned into a budget in Figured, which will save you a lot of double-entry of data. Moreover, because you use the same data for your Agronomic plan in Agworld as your financial plan and budget in Figured, it becomes a lot easier to measure past performance and provide learning opportunities for future seasons.
Planned input usage
Planned inputs and operations are brought across from Agworld into Figured, creating forecast cost invoices automatically. Once forecasts are converted to actual within Figured, this will automatically post to Xero if you have the Figured-Xero integration enabled.
While both the Agworld and Figured development teams are working on expanding this integration even further, we feel that this is a solid first step for you as an Agworld user that will prevent you from performing a lot of double-entry of data already. By having your agronomic and in-field record-keeping platform integrated with your accounting software, I’m confident that you’ll be able to spend even less time in the office as we continue our work on this integration.
If you have any questions about the integration between Agworld and Figured, please don’t hesitate to give your Figured or Agworld Customer Success representative a call.
